Occasional thoughts

1. What happened to the people¹ Jesus raised from the dead?
   there are no reports that I’ve ever read.
   Did they lead normal lives, even the slave,
   until the time came for them to go to their grave.
2. What happened to Jesus when he came from his tomb,
   with plenty written², there is little room
   to look at the story with any doubt,
   His death and resurrection are clearly set out
3. He died so that people may have freedom from sin³,
   He rose so that death for us would begin
   a life with Jesus lasting for ever⁴,
   with dying a step, like crossing a river.
4. Weeks after his death Jesus was taken away⁵
   up to heaven, where for now He will stay.
   He promised to go and prepare a place⁶
   For all who respond to his love, mercy, and grace.
