Les Misérables: A Story of God’s Hospitality, Grace and Redemption

On Saturday we went to see a performance of Les Misérables at the Duchess Theatre in Long Eaton  https://www.duchess-theatre.com/. It was an amateur production by https://kristianthomascompany.com/ and was an absolute joy to witness.

At the end of this show I was aware that there were many of us with a tear in our eye as we ahared in the emotion of the production.

Some years ago I read the book. It took a long time and sometimes a lot of concentrations but I have reloaded to my Kindle to read again.

    Well, if I never fell in love with the musical would have walked right past the book. My knowledge of the musical helped me when I read the novel. It was the film that made me fall in love with the musical after giving it a 2nd chance

    That article got something wrong- it isn’t The French Revolution; it is The June Rebellion of 1832

      Thanks for your comments. As an old man with limited tech skills I am never sure that I have done things right to it is good to see a comment. The incidents in the musical are about the June rebellion but as I understand it the ealry part of the book is set against the backdrop of the Revolution.
