On the road the run into the Wlson family who have their own difficulties. Both families consider if there may be advantaged in them travelling together as each could help out the other which they are happy to do. The difficulty in making the decision centres around neither family wanting the other to feel they have to help.
I think this is a dilemma at times for many; we are happy to help but reluctant to be helped. Certainly, at the moment there are things I cannot do to help others and I find this very frustrating. At the same time there are many things I need help with and I hesitate to ask for help and when it is offered unsolicited I can find it difficult to accept
I am reminded of a relatively new hymn by Richard A M Gillard. The first and last verses say
Brother, sister, let me serve you,
Let me be as Christ to you;
Pray that I may have the grace
To let you be my servant too.
If you are not familiar with it, I would recommend you take a look at one of the many links online. If you are familiar, may I suggest that it is worth another look/listen. . Pray that I may have the grace…….
